Prospective association between low and high total and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol and coronary heart disease in elderly men
Article Abstract:
The relationship between total cholesterol (TC) and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and the incidence of coronary heart disease (CHD) in elderly men are examined. The U-shaped association between TC and LDL-C and CHD implies a complex relationship between lipids and CHD in the late life.

Tetanus immunity in long-term care facilities
Article Abstract:
Research suggests that immunization history may not be a reliable indicator of immunity to tetanus in an institutionalized elderly population. Implications for immunization and disease control for long-term care facilities are discussed.
