Treatment intensity and outcome of patients aged 80 and older in intensive care units: a multicenter matched-cohort study

Article Abstract:

A study on the care and treatment received by the older patients in intensive care units is presented. It is observed that if the severities of illnesses are taken into account, the older people receive less care when compared to the younger people.
