Article Abstract:

An evaluation of page printers looks at groups with speeds of between four and six ppm, seven to 10 ppm, 11-15 ppm, 16-20 ppm and 21-30 ppm. The best buys in the 4-6 ppm group were Hewlett Packard's LaserJet 5L, and Epson's EPL-5500. In the 7-10 ppm group the best buy was Hewlett Packard's LaserJet 6P with a list price of 625 pound sterling, and the LaserJet 6MP. The Brother HL-1260e with a list price of 1,149 pounds sterling, and the Apple LaserWriter 12/64OPS were the best buys in the 11-15 ppm group. In the 16-20 ppm group, Gestetner 6216, Lexmark Optra R+, Brother HL-1660, Oce 6480 series and QMS 2060 series were the best buys. The Lexmark Optra N was the best buy in the 21-30 ppm group, with a list price of 2,539 pounds sterling.

Article Abstract:

The current socio-political discourse in the Czech Republic, as in most of modern industrial societies, is to a large degree underlined by changing demographic conditions. Owing to a prolonged life expectancy and a reduction in the age of effective labor market exit, retirement is becoming a life stage of the middle years and these societies have shrinking opportunities to cover expenses resulting from such parallel changes due to fiscal conditions and political as well as societal will.

Rose's Turn

Article Abstract:

Charlie Rose spent 6 years as the host of CBS's 'Nightwatch' before the show was cancelled. He was recently picked by that same network to be a correspondent on the new '60 Minutes II', but Rose will also keep doing his eponymous public television interview show. Authors, movie stars, politicians, and other former guests enjoy being interviewed by Rose because of his depth of knowledge about their work. Here, he addresses his critics and talks about his success.
