A field experiment for studying race relations embedded in organizations
Article Abstract:
Research on the psychological effect of data gathering methods in studies on race relations showed that better relationships were established between researchers and respondents if they had the same race, sex and social standing. Also, blacks responded more to group meetings than whites but they were not as satisfied as whites. However, the enhanced responsiveness of respondents failed to alter the results of the race relations studies.

Core skills and transfer in the youth training schemes: a field study of trainee motor mechanics
Article Abstract:
A study of the transfer of core skills to similar or novel assembly tasks by motor mechanics showed that only imperfect transfer of core skills took place. The four-dimensional survey studied bakers and motor mechanics at the novice and fully trained stages. Data analysis showed that occupational flexibility did not occur and that the core skills approach does not successfully encourage cross-structural learning.
