Differences between learning processes in small tigers and large dragons: learning processes of two color TV (CTV) firms within China
Article Abstract:
The history of China's color TV (CTV) industry in which learning processes take place to put the companies case studies into context is examined along with the firm-level learning processes by the indigenous firms in China. It is found that the most significant difference between learning processes in Chinese firms and the four other tigers' firms is that, firms from four other tigers usually rely almost on export markets, but Chinese firms are mostly local markets.

How much difference is there between industrial district firms? A net value creation approach
Article Abstract:
An argument that industrial district firms possess a number of shared resources that explain the competitive superiority of these firms is presented. The district firms develop their own particular relationships and networks and as a result exploitation of the shared resources is irregular.

Does foreign direct investment facilitate technological progress? Evidence from Chinese industries
Article Abstract:
The impact of foreign direct investment (FDI) on total factor productivity (TFP) for a cross sectional sample of Chinese industrial sectors are studied. The results indicate that attracting FDI is an effective way of introducing advanced technology to host countries.
