Entropic measures of belief system constraint
Article Abstract:
The notion of constraint of belief system is better conceived of as the absence of dispersion in table of cross-class filed beliefs. Thus, measures of constraints can be easily performed particularly in small ideologically focused groups where constraints are likely to occur. This entropic approach offers advantages because it is equally appropriate to interval, ordinal or nominal data; it variance-independent; there is no assumption that constraint is equivalent to either reduced dimensionality or pairwise associations and it is equally appropriate for mass and nonmass belief systems.

Internationally comparable measures of occupational status for the 1988 International Standard Classification of Occupants
Article Abstract:
Trieman's Standard International Occupational Prestige Scale (SIOPS), the International Socio-Economic Index of Occupational Status (ISEI), and Erickson and Goldthrope's class categories (EGP) have been revised using the International Standard Classification Of Occupations (ISCO88). The ISCO88 preforms as well as the older ISCO68, and uses skill requirements to classify the different occupations. Data from the International Social Justice Project validate the SIOPS, ISEI, and EGP occupational status scales.

Insights from parity status life tables for the 20th century U.S.
Article Abstract:
The parity status life table (PSLT) models show the implications of a set of age-parity-specific birth rate and describe the movement of women through successive parties as they progress through their childbearing years. PLST values for the US are presented for the years 1917-1997 and for cohorts born 1902 to 1963 where period PSLTs for Baby Boom years show over 40% of women ultimately having 5 or more children, while cohort PSLTs show that no birth cohort ever had 30% of its members at those parities.
