External economics and trade: an empirical analysis
Article Abstract:
External economies are now becoming an efficient determinant of comparative advantage in manufacturing industries. Studies of the international trade between the United States and developing countries using a factor proportions model attest to this. It also becomes evident that a country's comparative advantage is partially determined by the social compatibility intensities (SCI) of industries. Further comparative advantage studies could include patterns of comparative advantage changing over time, patterns of direct foreign investment, or patterns of growth rates.

Export performance and enterprise reform in China's coastal provinces
Article Abstract:
Several factors have enabled China to increase its export rate at an annual rate of 13%. Companies with exposure to freer domestic markets and the autonomy to make decisions were the most successful in increasing their exports. Additionally, companies that were not state enterprises were not as successful in achieving export growth than nonstate companies.

The limits to land reform: the Land Acts in Ireland, 1870-1909
Article Abstract:
The land reforms instituted in Ireland from 1870 to 1909 were mainly concerned with appeasing political concerns, and thus the Land Acts did not effect large economic changes. The reforms did lead to a reallocation of resources and they did cause wealth to be redistributed, but they failed to improve agricultural efficiency.
