Coping with technology divergence policies and strategies for India's industrial development
Article Abstract:
Adoption of a system integration policy proved to be effective in addressing the effects of technology divergence, such as technology fragmentation, in India. The policy is an institutional process that entails the integration of basic research and industry-specific applications of scientific knowledge. It requires a forward-looking policy that stimulates older industries in socially acceptable ways.
