Identifying underlying dimensions in spouses' evaluations of fairness in the division of household labor
Article Abstract:
Research was conducted to investigate the underlying dimensions in spouses' evaluations of fairness in the division of household chores. Data were supplied by the National Survey of Families of Households where responses showed that wives had a greater inclination to classify household labor as unfair to women while over half of participating couples reported fairness in the division of labor. Analysis of joint distribution results emphasizes the shared components underlying the high degree of spousal agreement.

On the consequences of ignoring unobserved heterogeneity when estimating macro-level models of crime
Article Abstract:
Time-series-cross-section data from 58 counties in California between 1990 and 1998 was used to show that heterogeneity should not be ignored. Equality-of-coefficients tests were used finally to demonstrate the effects of ignoring unobserved heterogeneity in macro-level models of crime.
