Article Abstract:
Joseph Schumpeter's well-known idea of creative destruction and on innovation policy, which might have vital relevance to today's increasingly policy-dominated world, is discussed. His policy review not only gives an explanation for the omnipresent copycat behavior among policymakers in change for innovation, but also warns against too much faith and generalization in propagating policy measures in the field of innovation.
