Letters to Dr Frankenstein? Ethics and the new reproductive technologies
Article Abstract:
Ethical debates continue to accompany the development of new reproductive technologies despite the increased acceptance of in vitro fertilization. Continuation of the ethical debate indicates that reproductive technologies develop within a value-laden framework which is not negated through widespread application. Ethical reflection, however, should attempt to explore and articulate the fundamental discontent evoked by medical technology as the basic source of moral issues.

Genetics, reproductive technologies, euthanasia and the search for a new societal paradigm
Article Abstract:
Disagreement over the genetics and new reproductive technologies debate, and the euthanasia debate can be dealt with by fostering active tolerance. The 'pure science' view and the 'science-spirit' view can be reconciled by treating humans as uniquely sacred from among animals. Conflict and disagreement can also be reduced between the two views by viewing genetics with awe and recognizing its mystery.

Who owns your frozen embryo? Promises and pitfalls of emerging reproductive options
Article Abstract:
Frozen human embryos present unique legal issues and the novelty of each case inhibits courts from establishing one controlling theory. Cases involving frozen embryos encompass constitutional issues of privacy, personal liberty and personal property. Legislation which regulates embryo disposition agreements and their enforcement would resolve several frozen embryo legal issues.
