Producer services, economic geography, and services tradability
Article Abstract:
The effects of producer services on industrial location are analyzed by incorporating in an economic geography model input-output linkages between a manufacturing sector and a sector that produces intermediate or producer services. The analysis considers a world divided into two regions each of which produces a homogenous agricultural good and other heterogenous manufactured goods. The application of the model to a multiregion world demonstrates that incorporating produces services may also occur in regions that specialize in various economic activities.

Municipal bond rating analysis: sample selectivity and simultaneous equations bias
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to examine the factors which determine municipal general obligation bond ratings. The study applies an expanded econometric framework and uses different econometric variables. A method for correcting sample selection bias and simultaneity is developed. Results show that such correctionprocedures affect the outcome of bond ratings analysis. Volume of debt, city size and location are among the factors which condition a bond rating.
