Normative conflict management theories: past, present, and future
Article Abstract:
Conflict management theory has changed over the years. Collaboration is no longer seen as the only answer to conflict but as one of the solutions due to the concept of conflict of interest. Interpersonal and intergroup levels of analysis have given way to analysis of interorganizational and interlevel relations. Conflict management requires a combination of process and structural interventions. Only the conceptual perspective remains unchanged. There is a need for conflict management due to the changing social factors present in society.

Work-family conflict: a comparison of dual-career and traditional-career men
Article Abstract:
A study to explore the differences between the antecedents and consequences of work-family conflict was conducted on 136 dual career men and 137 traditional-career men. Results indicate that having a wife who works may reduce family conflict due to the wive's multiple-role coping ability. Dual career men, however, experience more work conflict due to societal and institutional biases towards housewives.
