Pricing policy in spatial competition
Article Abstract:
Companies that operate under a spatial oligopolistic environment tend to recourse to the adoption of discriminatory pricing strategies to obtain marketing advantages. Such a tendency may eventually create Pareto inferior to other firms, thereby contributing to the deterioration of social welfare and massive market failure. The equilibrium number of mill pricing firms under this environment has also been found to be too large than that of a social optimum one.

Reverse discrete choice models
Article Abstract:
A novel approach to the analysis of reverse discrete choices was developed to derive a utility maximization version of the multinomial logit (MNL) model. Compared to conventional choice models, the proposed approach does not contain the IIA property of MNLs, thus, maintaining its tractability. The framework further makes use of the constant elasticity of substitution concept which provides a comprehensive tool for evaluating double exponential distribution.

A model of workplace and residence choice in two-worker households
Article Abstract:
Earnings opportunities and commuting ordeals of working wives greatly impact the spouses' residence location decisions as well as the wife's and husband's choice of workplace. The impact is more powerful if the difference in the wife's earnings potential and commuting time are greater. Uninterrupted business careers of wives increase the choice of central job and residence locations of both husband and wife.
