Article Abstract:
Not one expert consensus has yet been reached on what the quality of life is despite a heightened interest in the definition and m,easurement of the said subject of late. The issue embraces a number of disciplines such as sociology, the arts, psychology, geography and economics, among others. Literature on the subject has likewise been growing. Two exploratory workshops on health related quality of life have been funded in Britain by the Society for Social Medicine. The aim was to convene people from various disciplines to measure health-related quality of life in health services research.
