Relative income and investment comparisons among OECD nations
Article Abstract:
The convergence of per capita income towards one another is not guaranteed across Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) nations, specifically Germany and Japan, even if all variety in per capita income due to variety in capital accumulation per nation is eliminated. Convergence will depend on the time frame of productivity element that is independent of capital accumulation and time. Further convergence will be determined by a narrowing of differences in this origin of per capita income growth.

Hunger and food security among older adults in a rural community
Article Abstract:
Food insecurity among 192 senior citizens living in Perry County in eastern Kentucky has been determined by using structured questionnaires in face-to-face interviews. Perry County is typical of many areas in rural Appalachia whose economies relied on mining but are now experiencing high rates of poverty and unemployment. Results indicated that 24% of the respondents suffer from food insecurity. Bivariate analyses indicated the presence of health, social and material barriers in attaining food security.
