Experts as negative opinion leaders in the diffusion of a technological innovation
Article Abstract:
When controversial technological innovations are introduced, experts influence the diffusion rate and extent of acceptance of the innovations by acting as negative or positive opinion leaders. Prosthodontists and their selection of opinion leaders are studied, drawing on data from national and local samples of professionals to describe the use of non-precious alloys as substitutes for gold in dental restorations. Also explored is the role of discontinuers, those who stop a new practice and revert to the old, which the research shows are most likely to be made up of those individuals who were late in adopting the new technique initially.

However, an overdependence on computerization can leave staff and employees lax and alienated from their work. Other employees feel intimidated by technology that they are compelled to do simpler tasks as the more complicated work is left to the computer expects.

The role of negative affectivity in the stress process: tests of alternative models
Article Abstract:
Negative affectivity is a mood-dispositional dimension that shows individual differences in the experience of negative emotion and self-concept. It could directly affect measures of strain, act as a confounding variable of stressor-strain relations, moderate environment-outcome relationships, or its influence could be mediated through work environment perceptions.
