Rethinking on urban innovations in Spain
Article Abstract:
Spain's city and local governments have adjusted their urban management programs to cope with social, political and economic changes introduced in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Urban development has also evolved to become an endeavor where both the public and private sectors actively participate and act as partners. Two case studies exemplifying changes on urban innovations in Spain are discussed. These include Barcelona's Eix Macia project and Llobregat Delta Plan.
