Sexual orientation and identity
Article Abstract:
Current issues that concern gays are often paired with inaccurate statements based on homophobia or stereotypes. The Tailhook scandal showed that some heterosexual military men harass women and the Pentagon has not pushed an investigation while gay men and women have been expelled from the military because they might harass someone despite the lack of evidence. All but six states have no protection for gays and many outlaw gay sexual acts or even just gay orientation. Though no one knows what causes homosexuality, it is no longer considered a disease. Other facts are included.
