Some good reasons for faith in the market
Article Abstract:
There are three trends which are significantly contributing to the increase of the economic value of public firms and the development of knowledge-based industries that will serve new markets. The first trend is that the productivity gains from computers are finally being realized. The second is that the continuous decline in electronics prices and network externalities have enabled companies to generate increasing values for their investments in information technology. The third is the realization that the value of intellectual capital of growth companies has been grossly understated.

Assumption drag and the new millennium
Article Abstract:
Assumptions are borne of the innate lack of confidence in the ability of human beings for innovation. While bad for flexibility and creativity, their main attribute is efficiency, which is vital for individuals responsible for business and policy decisions. The continuing trend towards globalization and the increasing diversity of the workforce are expected to bring about an explosion of human creativity despite the inevitability of some assumption drag.
