The validity of self-reported cost events by substance abusers: limits, liabilities, and future directions
Article Abstract:
An evaluation of self-reports given by drug addicts is provided. The authors maintain the reports the addicts provide generally contain valid information of both medical and criminal cost events, which can be used by socioeconomic researchers to determine the cost-effectiveness and cost-benefits of substance abuse treatment.

The effect of the 'Weekly Reader' on children's knowledge of current events
Article Abstract:
The Weekly Reader periodical appears to affect children's knowledge of current events. This influence is stronger for children in grades 2 and 3 than for those in grades 4 through 6, probably because the older children derive current events information from other sources.

Counselor confounds in evaluation of vocational rehabilitation methods in substance dependency treatment

A study investigating the differences between effects of counselors and counseling methods with respect to substance dependency treatment, is presented. These effects relate to nested designs, crossed designs, and no-treatment control group designs.
