Evaluating a community-based drug and alcohol prevention program for at-risk youth
Article Abstract:
Issues regarding the effect of a community-based drug and alcohol prevention program on at-risk youth are discussed. Results of the Achenbach Youth Self-Report on such youth both before and after the program showed a trend towards significant change afterwards. Medium socioeconomic status and fair grades were associated with the greatest change.

Harm induction vs. harm reduction: comparing American and British approaches to drug use
Article Abstract:
Research shows that the UK's approach to curbing drug abuse may be more effective than that of the US. It is posited that American criminalization of drug abuse inflicts harm by discouraging users from seeking treatment and generating substantial public debt from law enforcement costs.
