Focusing on kids
Article Abstract:
Focus on Mentoring, a program that uses photography to offer broadening experiences for youths in public housing and first implemented by the Tampa Housing Authority uses hands-on-mentoring, cameras, and computers to create an energetic learning environment for kids. The budding photojournalists learn the way to take pictures, use a digital camera, and upload images to a computer, strengthening skills, which are not often taught in the classroom.

Theodosius Dobzhansky
Article Abstract:
Theodosius Dobzhansky's contributions to evolutionary theory are presented, from 1918 to 1973, along with a brief biography. The Ukrainian-born Dobzhansky is credited with the synthesis of evolution with genetics in describing the origin of species; he also taught genetics at several US institutions, including the California Institute of Technology, Rockefeller University and the University of California at Davis.
