Article Abstract:
Contemporary culture is characterized by a crisis of cultural canons but based on an analysis of empirical data it is concluded that talk of a total disappearance of cultural canons is exaggerated. There is only a weakening of the traditional composition of these canons and in the context of Polish society, studies have shown that while the artistic culture has decreased in importance, politics has begun to progressively play a more significant role in the Polish cultural canon.
