Article Abstract:
The new methodology for the social sciences focuses on universal democracy as its investigative model. This political structure is the determining factor in whether societies attain the goals of justice and liberty, and is therefore a useful tool. By using democracy as a methodology, sociologists can reassert the discipline's emphasis on the concept of a common good.
