Article Abstract:
Fifty-eight athletes, all members of the Greek national swimming and water polo teams, were tested to investigate whether aquatic athletes follow optimal dietary intake. The results indicated that athletes of both male and female genders consumed too much fat and too little carbohydrate, and that the low intake of antioxidants was the related to insufficient fruit and vegetable intake.
