Trout on the dark side

Article Abstract:

Telemetry studies confirm the fact that the trophy-class brown trout are heavily, and in some cases predominantly, nocturnal and the nighttime anglers in position to intercept these behemoth-on-the-prowl tend to catch some of the largest brown trout. The idea is to scout for possible hazards and to find the lies and cover that hold the biggest browns, since trout which are embedded in those lies during the daytime would move out of the unapproachable cover into adjacent, much more fishable feeding areas during the night.
