Perceived risk, safety status, and job stress among injured and noninjured employees on offshore petroleum installations

Article Abstract:

Employees who had previous accidents perceive risks and less safety in the workplace. A study on risk perception among employees on offshore petroleum installations reveals that employees' subjective evaluations often coincide with real risks. Moreover, employees who suffered from previous injuries become dissatisfied with the existing safety program and undergo more job stress than they did before the injury happened.
