Norway's Harding-Watercraft, Turkey's Gepa Fibreglass Industry & Trade Co. Inc. and Croatia's Greben Shipyard are among the world's leading manufacturers of lifeboats. Harding-Watercraft makes the MPC28 semi-enclosed survival craft, as well as other lines of lifeboats for all types of vessel. Both Gepa and Greben manufacture a wide variety of GRP safety craft. Harding's MPC28, Gepa's GF3 and Greben's PEL-70 are compared.

Fast cat has a sheltered life

Article Abstract:

Spain's Bazan yard delivers its first catamaran, a B60-type vessel named Luciano Federico L to Buquebus. Bazan completes the project together with Australia's fast ferry specialist Advanced Multi-Hull Designs. The vessel can carry 450 passengers and 52 cars with deep water speed of 52 knots. It is especially designed for deployment in the sheltered waters of the River Plate, between Buenos Aires and Montevideo.

Cascade General has sold its largest floating dock to Grand Bahama Shipyard. Article notes that there is less choice of drydock on the west coast.
