Nine-year-old Drew Thomas, who was born deaf and blind, attends a regular public school in Fairfax County, VA, but works from a special-education unit with three autistic children. He receives assistance from specialists for vision, speech, occupational and physical therapy and hearing.

THis sounds like a compelling story, my students have used it during research into American Sign Language!
