Comcast launches hard-wired interconnect

Article Abstract:

Comcast Cable Communications Inc introduced a hard-wired interconnect called Comcast MarketLink Philadelphia that allows advertisers to reach cable consumers from the New Jersey Shore to Harrisburg, PA, and from Dover, DE, to Trenton, NJ. Through a single point of entry, the interconnect can air commercials simultaneously throughout the region on any or all major cable networks. The Comcast MarketLink Philadelphia is the third largest interconnect in the US with 2.2 million cable subscribers.

Phila. jeweler taken off Web

Article Abstract:

Ringold Jewelers Inc, based in Philadelphia, PA, has been issued with a cease-and-desist order by the Pennsylvania Securities Commission for advertising on the Internet the sale of unregistered securities in the state. Ringold's advertisement on BlackBean Communications Ltd's Website does not contain the proper and necessary disclosures and it would violate the 1972 Securities Act if it continues.

Phila. Magazine now a defendant in suit brought by nude model

Article Abstract:

Philadelphia Magazine has been sued by model Angela Izzo for allegedly tricking her into posing in the nude. The suit claims that the magazine has used her nude photo as centerfold to boost circulation. The suit further alleges that the publication of her photo has caused her emotional stress and worries that she might be perceived as an individual of low moral character.
