Eyes on the fries

Article Abstract:

McDonald's Corp has achieved its phenomenal global reach with its ability to appear constantly 'new' despite offering most of the same food products for the past 30 years. The restaurant chain has expanded its menu and now offers promotion campaigns that include toys with meals or playground areas for kids. With its traditional appeal, McDonald's has managed to penetrate 115 countries on six continents. A majority of the 1,750 new restaurants planned for 1999 will open overseas. The company's success is universal with its marketing of a casual atmosphere and its consistent and tasty burgers and French fries. Even the new McVeggie burger may attract vegetarian consumers who have avoided the restaurants.
