Flowers inspired by fine art

Article Abstract:

Floral art during the 17th century featured bright colors and lavish arrangements, reflective of the wealth and scientific knowledge abundant during the period. New York, NY, floral designer Douglas J. Koch was inspired by two Flemish works to recreate them as attractive centerpieces.

Interior designer Eric Cohler designed a five-room apartment to display its owner's collection of American folk art. The process included gutting the entire apartment to create new living spaces while lighting soffits were used to illuminate the collections.
