Is photojournalism and endangered species?

Article Abstract:

Photojournalism is about to be abolished in newspapers. Many photo editors are of the opinion that the photo department has been relegated to the back room in terms of importance especially when the 'run of press color' was introduced which allowed the printing of color on any page. This made photography merely as an illustrative tool. Thus, photo editors are now just being asked to manage and their powers may be further reduced with the emergence of digital photography.

Moral minefield

Article Abstract:

Effective nursing of patients with mental disorders in a secure unit poses ethical problems. Moral dilemmas may develop from reconciling individual freedom of mentally-ill criminals with the need for control. Decisions concerning patients at Cairngorm therapeutic community, Leicester, England are based on the reconciliation of absolutist beliefs with utilitarian considerations. For example, practical safety considerations may limit the freedom of parole.
