A mechanism of cyclin D1 action encoded in the patterns of gene expression in human cancer

Article Abstract:

Research shows that overexpression of the oncogene cyclin D1 is mediated by a transcription factor, C/EBPbeta/Nf-II6, and the protein C/EBPbeta regulates the genes affected by cyclin D1. Data demonstrate that C/EBPbeta protein is essential for the function of cyclin D1 oncogene.

Physical and functional interactions between polo kinase and the spindle pole component Cut12 regulate mitotic commitment in S. pombe

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on Schizosaccharomyces pombe spindle pole component Cut12 which suppresses conditional lethal commitment defect. Results demonstrate that Cut12 associates with Plo1 in hybrid and immunoprescipitation assays.

Schizosaccharomyces pombe Int6 and Ras homologs regulate cell division and mitotic fidelity via the proteasome

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on Yin6 , Schizosaccharomyces pombe Int6 homolog implicated in tumorigenesis. Results demonstrate that Yin6 binds and regulates proteasome in S. pombe.
