Angiotensin I-converting-enzyme-inhibitory and antibacterial peptides from Lactobacillus helveticus PR4 proteinase-hydrolyzed caseins of milk from six species

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on food-grade microorganism Lactobacillus helveticus PR4. The authors have investigated the use of the L. helveticus PR4 proteinase in producing angiotensin I-converting-enzyme-inhibitory and antimicrobial peptides from milk's sodium caseinates, and have tested these peptides' ability to yield bioactive peptides.

Antibacterial activity of synthetic analogues based on the disaccharide structure of moenomycin, an inhibitor of bacterial transglycosylase

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on moenomycin, a glycolipid inhibiting Gram-positive bacteria growth. The authors describe their efforts to discover moenomycin analogues via the use of combinatorial synthesis, and report the identification of related disaccharide analogues with unique antibacterial properties.

Alpha-5,6-dimethylbenzimidazole adenine dinucleotide (alpha-DAD), a putative new intermediate of coenzyme B (sub)12 biosynthesis in Salmonella typhimurium

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on CobT enzyme of Salmonella typhimurium. The authors demonstrate that this enzyme has NAD (super)+ -dependent ADPribosyltransferase activity.
