Effects of tylosin on erythromycin resistance in enterococci isolated from swine

Article Abstract:

The impact of tylosin on erythromycin resistant enterococci is checked on three farms, where in farm A exploited tylosin to increase the growth, farm B exploited tylosin to treat the disease and farm C did not utilize tylosin for increasing the growth or in treating the disease. This checking indicated where tylosin was exploited to increase the growth, the resistant enterococci were also present on the farm where antimicrobial agents were not utilized.

Role of calf-adapted Escherichia coli in maintenance of antimicrobial drug resistance in dairy calves

Article Abstract:

Anti microbial drug-resistant bacteria is normally found more in younger animals and studies were conducted to come to a conclusive decision regarding this occurrence. It was found that the prevalence of resistant organisms was not equally distributed across age groups and it was found that resistant E. coli had higher fitness in the calf enteric environment.

Phylogenetic characterization of virulence and resistance phenotypes of Pseudomonas syringae

Article Abstract:

Functional, phenotypic assays were used to survey the ability of 95 Pseudomonas syringae strains to produce toxins, nucleate ice, and resist antimicrobial agents. Most strains were resistant to ampicillin and copper and had the ability to nucleate ice, and yet very few strains were resistant to the other antibiotics.
