Germination-induced bioluminescence, a route to determine the inhibitory effect of a combination preservation treatment on bacterial spores

Article Abstract:

Research demonstrates inhibition of Bacillus subtilis spore germination by a combination of factors than individual treatment alone as revealed by bioluminescence measurements. Data also point out that germination can be restored by nonnutrient germinant calcium dipicolinic acid.

Fate and dissemination of Bacillus subtilis spores in a murine model

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on the bacterial spore probiotics. The presence and dissemination of the spores from Bacillus subtilis which were given to mice orally have been investigated to characterize these spores, and the results indicate that the spores do not disseminate across the mucosal surfaces.

Bacterial community structure and location of Stilton cheese

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on Stilton cheese microbial diversity. The study of this diversity has been carried out via the analysis of 16S rDNA variable regions using PCR-denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis, and the details are presented.
