Incomplete sexual isolation in sympatry between subspecies of the butterfly Danaus chrysippus (L.) and the creation of a hybrid zone

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on well-separated populations of the butterfly Danaus chrysippus. The authors have examined the congruence between the nuclear genotype and haplotype within the species from both allopatric and sympatric ranges in an attempt to gather evidence for sexual isolation of these populations, and they present the results.

Hybridization of banteng (Bos javanicus) and zebu (Bos indicus) revealed by mitochondrial DNA, satellite DNA, AFLP and microsatellites

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on (Bos javanicus) and zebu (Bos indicus) hybridization. The authors have investigated this hybridization in south-east Asian cattle via the use of microsatellite genotyping, satellite fragment length polymorphism, AFLP and mitochondrial DNA, and they report the results.
