Purification and properties of a polyester polyurethane-degrading enzyme from Comamonas acidovorans TB-35

Article Abstract:

Purification of a polyester polyurethane (PUR)-degrading enzyme taken from Comamonas acidovorans TB-35 was undertaken until it showed a single band in sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE). Results from gel filtration and SDS-PAGE of the PUR esterase indicated that it was a monomer with a molecular mass of approximately 62,000 Da. Also, optimum acidity for this enzyme was 6.5 with optimum temperature at 45 degrees celsius.

A cytochrome c from a lupanine-transforming Pseudomonas putida strain is expressed in Escherichia coli during aerobic cultivation and efficiently exported and assembled in the periplasm

Article Abstract:

The authors have investigated periplasmic cytochrome c from the lupanine-utilizing Pseudomonas putida strain. The aim of the study has been the cloning, sequencing and heterologously expressing this cytochrome, and the determination of the cytochrome's molecular size via the use of electrospray mass spectrometry.
