Reinduction of ErbB2 in astrocytes promotes radial glial progenitor identity in adult cerebral cortex

Article Abstract:

A study on whether re-expression of activated ErbB2 can induce mature astrocytes to revert to a radial glial progenitor phenotype in the adult cerebral cortex is presented. The results indicate a positive response and raise the possibility that reinduced radial glia in the mature brain can be manipulated to generate and guide new neurons.

Angiomotin regulates endothelial cell migration during embryonic angiogenesis

Article Abstract:

The importance of angiomotin (Amot) during embryonic angiogenesis is studied. Results demonstrate an important role for Amot during tube formation, with defects in endothelial cell (EC) polarization and growth factor-induced migration.
