Rhizobium-legume symbiosis and nitrogen fixation under severe conditions and in an arid climate

Article Abstract:

Nitrogen fixation and Rhizobium-legume symbiosis where conditions are severe and in arid climates are discussed. For improvement of soil fertility and rehabilitation of arid lands, this symbiosis is an ideal solution. Several strains in various rhizobia species are tolerant to such stress effects as acid stresses, salt, and heat, sometimes under influence of heavy metals.
