Role of heat-shock factor 2 in cerebral cortex formation and as a regulator of p35 expression

Article Abstract:

The role of heat-shock factor 2 in cerebral cortex displays mispositioning of neurons of superficial layers. The heat-shock factor 2 affects cellular populations that assist in radial migration and directly regulates the expression of p35, a crucial actor of radial neuronal migration.

Expansion of adult [beta]-cell mass in response to increased metabolic demand is dependent on HNF-4[alpha]

Article Abstract:

The mutant hepatocyte nuclear factor-4[alpha] (HNF-4[alpha]) gene impairs the proliferation of pancreatic [beta]-cells in maturity-onset diabetes. These findings provide evidence that the gene is responsible for the growth of [beta] cell mass on increased metabolic demand.

Cell cycle-dependent dynamic localization of a bacterial response regulator with a novel di-guanylate cyclase output domain

Article Abstract:

A study is conducted on dynamic localization of guanylate cyclase. The results propose that local action of novel-type guanylate cyclase might constitute a general regulatory principle in bacterial growth and development.
