Aerobic degradation of dinitrotoluenes and pathway for bacterial degradation of 2,6-dinitrotoluene

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on the mineralization of 2,4-dinitrotoluene (2,4-DNT) by Burkholderia sp. strain DNT. The characterization of the bacterial strains that mineralize 2,6-dinitrotoluene by a different pathway is discussed.

Sequence analysis and initial characterization of two isozymes of hydroxylaminobenzene mutase from Pseudomonas pseudoalcaligenes JS45

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on Pseudomonas pseudoalcaligenes JS45 that grows on nitrobenzene. The cloning of the two open frames from P. pseudoalcaligenes JS45 that encode hydroxylaminobenzene mutase enzyme has been carried out.

Biodegradation of the nitramine explosive CL-20

Article Abstract:

Research shows that the cyclic nitramine explosive CL-20 is rapidly degraded in garden soil containing Agrobacterium sp. strain JS71. Data indicate that about 80% of the explosive degrades in two days of incubation in the garden soil.
