Show me the money

Article Abstract:

Studies conducted about the salaries of people with same rank, working in the same field, in the same type of institution showed significant salary disparity among white men, minorities like Hispanics, African Americans and women. Many economists explain the disparities stating that as women and minorities tend to be newer in their fields and lack experience, they are paid less, and that women and minorities are drawn to fields that historically pay less than fields to which white men flock, or they may work in less prestigious institutions.

A nasty mother

Article Abstract:

Mother Nature nurtures all the animals and living beings on the earth through her benevolence and offerings, but this Mother Nature or Mother Earth can be vicious, capricious and uncaring as is shown by the presence of some of the biggest and hottest deserts like Sahara, which once was a great green land and the Amazon forest where sunlight is a rare and precious commodity. A proposal for using biotechnology to alter plants and animals to avoid destruction by nature, for the benefit of mankind and the biosphere itself, is put forth.
