Characterization of the single superoxide dismutase of Staphylococcus xylosus

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on the facultative anaerobic bacterium Staphylococcus xylosus. The analysis of the antioxidant capacities of this organism has been carried out via characterization of the superoxide dismutase, and the results are discussed.

Signal peptide and propeptide optimization for heterologous protein secretion in Lactococcus lactis

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on the lactic acid bacteria producing heterologous proteins of therapeutical interest. The use of the staphylococcal nuclease in developing the heterologous protein secretion model in Lactococcus lactis is described.

Genomic diversity in Staphylococcus xylosus

Article Abstract:

The suppressive and subtractive hybridization (SSH) is carried out between three Staphylococcus xylosus tester strains in order to understand the genetic diversity of Staphylococcus xylosus intraspecies. The studies have shown the genetic diversity is colocalized in a region near the origin of replication of the chromosome.
