Specific response of a novel and abundant lactobacillus amylovorus-like phylotype to dietary prebiotics in the guts of weaning piglets

Article Abstract:

A test conducted on the weaning piglets indicated the presence of lactobacillus reuteri in the ileum and Lactobacillus amylovorus-like beings in the ileum. The newly invented oligonucleotide looks at aiming these phylotypes, which permits their speedy identification and computation in the ileum and colon by fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH).

Influence of glutamate on growth, sporulation, and spore properties of Bacillus cereus ATCC 14579 in defined medium

Article Abstract:

A chemically defined medium in combination with an airlift fermentor system is used to study the growth and sporulation of Bacillus cereus ATCC 14579. Findings reveal that Bacillus cereus is able to form spores on a chemically defined medium without glucose but with lactate as a main carbon source.

gerR, a novel ger operon involved in L-alanine-and inosine-initiated germination of Bacillus cereus ATCC 14579

Article Abstract:

The role of a novel germination receptor, termed gerR, in Bacillus cereus ATCC 14579 type strain is investigated. It is suggested that the receptor can be a part of a complex, probably in concert with the gene products of other ger operons.
