Tbx3 controls the sinoartrial node gene program and imposes pacemaker function on the atria

Article Abstract:

Studies to show that transcriptional repressor, Tbx3 controls the sinoartrial node gene by delineating the region, hence imposing a distinct pacemaker function on the atria cells are conducted. The mice models employed reveal that ectopic expression of Tbx3 helps in repression of atrial phenotype imposing the pacemaker phenotype and causing a partial loss of sinoatrial node-specific gene expression as well.

Targeted disruption of SHIP leads to hemopoietic perturbations, lung pathology, and a shortened life span

Article Abstract:

SHIP is a (SH2 protein containing inositol-5-phospate) that is found in hemopoietic cells and it plays an important role in cytokine signaling. Targeted disruption of SHIP results in only 40% of mice thriving past the 14th week. Infiltration from myeloid cells leads to extensive consolidation of the legs. The other changes and the impact of SHIP deficiency are discussed.

Activation of the Notch-regulated transcription factor CBF1/RBP-Jk through the 13SE1A oncoprotein

Article Abstract:

In metazoans, the cell surface Notch receptors mediate the intercellular signaling events involved in the cell growth and differentiation. Research points out to the role played by the Notch-CBF1/RBP-Jk transcription factor in the signaling pathway and its interaction with the viral replication and oncogenic expression.
