The LicT protein acts as both a positive and a negative regulator of loci within the bgl regulon of Streptococcus mutans
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on Streptococcus mutans beta-glucoside-specific phosphotransferase system regulon. Results demonstrate that in the presence of glucose LicT protein regulates this regulon via putative antitermination mechanism.

The mannitol-specific enzyme II (mtlA) gene and the mtlR gene of the PTS of Streptococcus mutans
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on the mtlA and mtlR genes from Streptococcus mutans. Results indicate that these genes are a part of the multiple cistronic message.
