Developmental regulation of transcription by a tissue-specific TAF homolog

Article Abstract:

Study has shown that cell type-specific TAF(sub.II.super8) has an important role in developmental regulation of gene expression. The cannonball gene of Drosophila had been seen to encode a cell type-specific homolog of a more ubiquitously expressed component of the general transcription factor TFIID, and cannonball is necessary in vivo for high-level transcription of a set of stage- and tissue-specific target genes in male gametogenesis.

Changing colors in mice: an inducible system that delivers

Article Abstract:

An inducible system that delivers relative to changing mouse colors is discussed in this review article. Various laboratories have designed systems intended to achieve inducible gene expression because it is helpful experimenter to be able to control a system when trying to find the function of an encoded protein or the role of a putative regulatory region.

p63 is the molecular switch for initiation of an epithelial stratification program

Article Abstract:

It is proved that TAp63 isoforms are the first to be expressed during embryogenesis and are required for initiation of epithelial stratification. In addition, the p63 plays a dual role of initiating epithelial stratification during development and maintaining proliferative potential of basal kerationcytes in mature epidermis.
